Are you a mother-to-be and would like to breastfeed your newborn? Are you a new mother struggling to breastfeed? Conflicting advice can cause pain, nipple trauma ranging from mild to severe. All these, if not majority of these problems, could be avoided.
As a breastfeeding coach for the past 7 years, I am beset with mothers who go through varying degrees of trauma, pain and breastfeeding problems. This has led me to focus more on the breastfeeding aspect of the attachment process.
With all the information available on breastfeeding, it is no surprise that some mothers get confused and at times, get conflicting advice. We forget that each person is unique and therefore, there is no “one size fits all” secret technique. Each person is unique, each baby wonderfully and uniquely made. As a breastfeeding coach, I approach each mother differently to address her needs.
My fulfillment is in witnessing my patients experience motherhood through breastfeeding.
